Artificial Intelligence tools for enhancing English communication skills

Abstract
Recent developments in Artificial Intelligence
(AI) have brought significant changes to the field of English language
education. AI-driven tools such as automated writing assistants, conversational
chatbots, speech recognition systems, and adaptive learning platforms are
increasingly used to support the development of English communication skills. This
paper examines the effectiveness of AI tools in enhancing listening, speaking,
reading, and writing abilities among undergraduate learners. It highlights how
AI facilitates personalized instruction, continuous feedback, and learner
engagement. The study also discusses the educational benefits, pedagogical
implications, and limitations of AI-assisted language learning. The paper
concludes that AI, when integrated thoughtfully with conventional teaching
practices, can substantially improve communicative competence in English.
